Dear lazyweb, how hard is it to make Adam Curry who ponders Nokia N800, GPS and some clever code to find out about Geoclue? (hi!
good show!)

No need, Lazyweb rang me already. Geoclue looks interesting, where can I see it in action?

Holy crap! It works! Out of curiosity, where did you see this?
Lazyweb moves in mysterious ways..
Geoclue is quite a new project, so I am not sure if there is much real-world use of it yet. However, we are trying to do a blogging tool for the N800 / maemo that queries GeoClue for location and then sets geotags accordingly when you post. It needs blog support too - Andrew Turner is working on a wordpress plugin as a counterpart to this.
There are tons of possibilities for this though.
You might find www.deathmonkey.org amusing, although the event happened last summer. But they did a moped race accross europe and blogged with geotags along the way. Crazy and cool.

Actually, Maemo Blog already is able to use GeoClue position data, and post it to a Midgard-based blog with an extension on the MetaWeblog API.
As soon as we have time to properly test it I will post a spec on how to include geo information into MetaWeblog API calls (hint: we extend it basically the same way georss extends RSS).
