They made it!
The DeathMonkey race is over, two of three guys are in Gibraltar, and even the third got very close before having his vechicle stolen in Pamplona. Duh..
“Bob” aka “The guy I did the GUADEC talk with” used his Nokia 770 to blog from the trip, looks like it was a useful tool for that. Need to have some blogging tools for offline writing though.

I’ve been thinking about porting the blogging client Drivel to the scratchbox environment. That supports multiple types of blogs and has support for offline blogging. Unfortunately, I don’t own a 770, so it kinda removed the impoteus to get it done.
