Gnome website and CMS questions

Friday, July 28th, 2006

So, the Gnome website apparently needs a new engine.
Henri wrote a nice analysis and commentary of Midgard CMS and how it would work for this case. Check it out.
I think we should also think a bit deeper here: we could possibly have some CMS-like functionality on the desktop as a method of sharing information, perhaps […]

Airventure and Flickr

EAA Airventure 2006 - the Big Annual Happening of general aviation is currently ongoing in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, in the US of A. I found a Flickr group that hopefully gathers a lot of interesting photos from the event. As flying is one of my interests and passions, the stuff presented there naturally gets my attention. […]

The DeathMonkey race is over, two of three guys are in Gibraltar, and even the third got very close before having his vechicle stolen in Pamplona. Duh..
“Bob” aka “The guy I did the GUADEC talk with” used his Nokia 770 to blog from the trip, looks like it was a useful tool for that. Need […]

Quick maps

Luckily the nice weather from GUADEC continued also in Finland, and it was very nice to have the work lunch outside in the nearby lunch restaurant. Finnish summer is nice, and usually there is not that much snow during that time.. (it’s +24ÂșC right now… ;-))

No, I havent forgotten you either, planet gnome!

Maybe some of you Nokia 770 users will enjoy this very summer themed wallpaper I did - I shot it this morning when fetching the dogs back from my mom’s place (they were having a vacation there during GUADEC).
The wallpaper should work nicely with the new OS2006 upgrade that was recently released.
