But the important thing is to have a facility to provide and store the information.. then it is easier for different people to take advantage of the information. I am starting to think Galago might be a good place for storing this stuff, since it handles presence already. Plus the advantage would be that it is already included with distributions, no need fight to have yet another package added... For me realtime-hacker-tracking is not that interesting, what would be way cooler (for me) would be geotagging photos: Imagine having a small GPS-logger with you while you shoot photos. Then have a tool to merge the EXIF-date with the recorded positions. That'd be awesome. Simon Geotagging indeed is cool.
