Some wallpapers for your ‘770
(yes, the fever is gone, if you were wondering about my previous blog post about the flu…)
Spring is progressing nicely and summer is approaching fast. That’s why I browsed through some of my older photos and made some wallpapers for you Nokia 770 users out there.
I noticed the wallpaper is offset a bit in the device, so the “maemo.org” text is in a weird location when you view these on your browser, but it aligns nicely to the top right corner (where the window manager buttons are when the desktop is not visible) - I thought a bit of advertising wouldnt hurt, and the url looked nice in the “vacant spot”

It’s been a while since I did any artwork due to the work switch etc taking time, I guess the spring weather made the difference..
I’d say these images are licensed under the creative commons license for non-commercial, share-alike use. Basically I hope they make you happy, please do not steal them - they are not public domain.

Ah nice. But wouldn’t they need a complete theme to go with them, what do you think?
In particular we don’t have a green theme in the default selection…

It nicely shows how dense the screen on the 770 must be. There wallpapers are quite big on my desktop screen. It’s reckon at least twice the size.
The captcha is way too long dude. Make it something like 5 characters at most if you can.

Thanks for putting these up, it’s nice to have some more (CC!) backgrounds. But could you modify you server script to handle the bare filename for the full res image? Downloading them on the n770 is painful because they all get the ‘full’ virtual path as their filename, and one has to type something more descriptive.

Yea, I know the url sucks - it’s not my server though, but a hosted gallery a friend has at his ISP company, so I cannot change it myself. I dont like that part myself either, but I love the fact that I can just dump stuff on a ftp server and it makes the whole gallery for me..
