One of the nice things about the strong gnome / linux desktop heritage of maemo is that many old tricks work... So you can dump the MS web core fonts to /home/user/.fonts/ (need to use terminal), if you have access to the .ttf files (maybe on your other computer for example?)

$ mkdir /home/user/.fonts
$ cp -a /media/mmc1/corefonts-folder-of-yours/*.ttf /home/user/.fonts

Then reboot the device to make your device to see them - this works in N810/N800/770 too as far as I remember.

MNice. But does anyone know how to install the Microsoft core web fonts (Arial, etc.) on the device? Esp. in the browser the lack of standard fonts looks bad.

Another suggestion: try switching out the monospaced font for Anonymous Pro.
