End of one email address
As of yesterday, tigert@gimp.org is no longer working. It was probably on every possible spam list there is. I do not particularly enjoy reading spam in korean anyway, so I asked yosh to just kill the address altogether. Sad - but I was probably missing 99% of legit mail sent to me due to the spam anyway.
(yes, I do use spamassassin, but when you get ~1000 spams every day, even those that do get through are too much)
Clever people can figure out my address with some guesswork, and sadly, due to many old mailing list archive programs still in use, whatever I use on the community stuff will end up in spambots soon anyway since it will be on the web in nice mailto-links..
Email is getting old anyway.. its the equivalent of fax (especially when people send attachments back and forth) - there needs to be better ways for a community to communicate.

I just use one personal address for friends / family, and then a different one for each mailing list / site I register with, all at my domain. That way, if one of them gets harvested, I can block it and use a different one with minimum impact.

Sure, greylisting is great! I used to get +200 spam mails a day, but know hardly ever get one, and spamassassin marks it for me

You guys just don’t want to tell people to use greylisting
If that method spreads, it becomes absolutely useless…

I use the same method as Nermal, also server side feedback forms on my web pages instead of mail links.

Same with me.. RIP random@gimp.org >.>
I’m still getting a ton of spam to the address it was attached to.
